SUMMARY After updating to 6.2 plasmashell crashes in a loop non stop. I cannot do anything. I don't think i have a unique set up but not sure how this made it out. my setup is a laptop with nvidia graphics card, not using built in apu graphics. External monitor connected via hdmi. upon logging in: black screen crashes crash handler pops up black screen crashes repeat cannot do anything so cannot even get logs and i am a noob at linux. hoping someone else has this issue that can properly diagnose it. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. turn on computer 2. login non stop crash loop. Hi, sorry to hear you have trouble. Can you see what the crash handler says and copy it here? You should be able to open krunner when plasmashell is crashed, if you can see windows opening. Default shortcut for krunner is "Alt+shift+f2" and you can use it to open web browser. Then you should be able to copy the items from the crash handler to here, if you click on the "developer information" button in the handler. You may have to wait for a while when it gathers the crash information though.
Also can you tell us what distribution you are using?
