SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have the Media Player widget added to the top bar. (Mine was 3/4s of the way to the right of the screen)
2. Open Spotify
3. Play Music

OBSERVED RESULT
Terminal command "top" shows plasmashell using 100% of the CPU and temperatures also rise, causing the computer to be unable to be used effectively.

EXPECTED RESULT
Media Player widget allows for quick access to the playing media on the computer

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 40
KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.6.0
Qt Version: 6.7.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Using the "kill -9" on the plasmashell daemon does not resolve the issue.

If something crashed, we need a backtrace of it so we can figure out what's going on. Can you please attach a backtrace of the crash using the coredumpctl command-line program, as detailed in https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports#Retrieving_a_backtrace_using_coredumpctl?

Thanks!
