SUMMARY I am trying to utilize multi touch gestures in Krita and am unable to disable the default KWin multi touch gestures. This prevents any application from seeing more than 2 fingers touching the screen at the same time as the moment the 3rd finger or any additional fingers make contact with the screen, the system gestures take over. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Get device with 5 finger capable touchscreen running KDE 6 or higher under Wayland 2. Open Krita and try to use 3 finger, 4 finger, or 5 finger gestures OBSERVED RESULT KWin will eat any input higher than 2 fingers and Krita will not trigger the expected multi touch gesture. KWin will trigger desktop switching on 3 finger swipes up or down, the specific switcher differs based on if you swipe up or down EXPECTED RESULT The 3,4, or 5 finger gesture mapped in Krita should trigger. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux: 6.10.10-arch1-1-surface (64-bit) KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.5 KDE Frameworks Version:6.6.0 Qt Version: 6.7.3 Wayland ADDITIONAL INFORMATION There is currently no documented or available way I have found to rebind or change the multi touch swipe gestures that are default in KDE.

(In reply to Nate Graham from comment #1) > > *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 402857 *** My bug is not a duplicate of touchpad issues, this issue is specifying that the multitouch touchscreens do not work properly under KDE because of hard coded touchscreen gestures. As far as I'm aware the touchscreen and touchpad gestures are different systems.
Aha, in that case it's a duplicate of Bug 462935. Ultimately this is sort of an app bug though; apps ideally should not register 3 and 4 finger touchpad or touchscreen gestures, since those will very likely conflict with gestures assigned by the system. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 462935 ***
