SUMMARY The textfield cursor has two carets. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Launch ghostwriter. OBSERVED RESULT The caret has two visual indicators, the intended blue caret and a pixel-wide black bar. The blinking is not syncronized and the black caret has a slightly shorter time interval between the blinks. EXPECTED RESULT Only one caret is visible. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Manjaro Xfce 4.18 Kernel: 6.1.111-1 MANJARO KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: 5.15.15 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Cannot reproduce in ghostwriter 24.05.2. Beside that one, I only tested 24.08.0 and 24.08.1 (can reproduce in both), but not the versions in-between. I use Xfce, not KDE. The second caret looks identical to the caret that I see in system apps. So I suppose that's the default Xfce caret. I don't know how to rate the severity. While it is arguably a petty issue, I had to downgrade because of it. The caret is at the center of the user's attention, and this bug makes the caret constantly morph between four states at irregular intervals (no caret, one of the carets, both carets).
