Description JPT 2024-10-05 11:38:35 UTC
SUMMARY
I would like to have a few pages that show read and write throughput separately for SDA, SDB, SDC, SDE etc permanently.
This does not work as you have to create a new panel for every medium you insert into your PC.
BTW, "Wechselmedium" label does not show SDx at all
PS. Using german words where I am not sure about the original english

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. add page
2. edit row
3. add sensor for a drive, like "n GiB Wechselmedium", say /dev/sdg
4. save page
4. remove your "Wechselmedium" and insert another.

OBSERVED RESULT
The display will be still there but it does not show any throughput. Maybe it is not connected to a device any more.
Not sure if this happens for "internal" drives as well, as "internal/external" detection heuristics does not take into account SATA hot-plugging, ie is rather pointless.

EXPECTED RESULT
Show throughput of the newly inserted SDG device without manually configuring the panel.
