Description mully_cap 2024-10-04 18:15:40 UTC
SUMMARY
I installed Portmaster and allowed incoming and outgoing connections from kdeconnectd. Then, the application got an update on F-Droid, and when I tried to send my phone's clipboard to my computer, it crashed and continued crashing even after uninstalling and reinstalling the application from the Google Play Store or F-Droid.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Install KDE Connect.

Open it on your PC.

Open it on your Android device.

Request pairing between the devices.

Pair them.

The Android app will say "This paired device is not reachable. Make sure it is connected to your same network."

When you pull down to refresh the interface, the app will crash and continue crashing even after closing the app. If you clear the cache or app data, repeating the process still results in the same crash.

OBSERVED RESULT
The app crashes when attempting to interact between paired devices.

EXPECTED RESULT
The app should allow interaction between the devices without crashing.
