SUMMARY The Plasma panel that I put at the bottom (a la GNOME's and MacOS) is set to auto-hide / dodge windows in panel configuration. However, when I go over it with the mouse cursor to bring it back, it doesn't re-appear. There's only a blue glow where it's supposed to be. The [Switch desktop on edge] is set to 'Always enabled'. If disabled, the panel re-appears on pointed hover. This is regardless if I have virtual desktops enabled (I don't). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Go to System settings -> Mouse & Touchpad -> Screen edges -> Switch desktop on edge -> set to 'Always enabled' 2. Right-click on Panel -> Panel configuration -> Visibility -> 'Auto-hide' or 'Dodge windows' 3. Make a window full screen, panel hides, then try to bring it back by hovering over it (doesn't work). OBSERVED RESULT Panel doesn't re-appear on mouse hover. EXPECTED RESULT Should re-appear on mouse hover regardless of [Switch desktops on edge] option. (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #1) > > *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 474873 *** Hi Nate, Are you sure this is a duplicate? The other issue seems to be dealing with hot corners and inability to trigger them, while this is with the inability to re-appear the panel. I might be wrong, of course.
The settings interfere, which is what that bug report is about, so ultimately both are about the same issue (which is fixed in Plasma 6.2.0). Of course if I'm wrong, feel free to re-open this if you upgrade to Plasma 6.2 and still experience it. Thanks!
