What is wrong with Krita? It deleted my file. Please fix this bug, it has happened twice already. It keeps on saying it doesn't exist when I spent days making the artwork.

SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Make an artwork and the whole day making it
2. save it
3. open the file and it will tell you that the file doesn't exist or something.

OBSERVED RESULT: the file deleted itself when I tried to open the file


EXPECTED RESULT: You won't be able to open the artworks you spent hours making

I'm so sorry to hear what happened to you. What version of krita is it? So as soon as you double clicked the file it just disappeared?

Also, if you have windows, is ransomware protection turned on? It can tell apps that things don't exist.

Sorry, but this is impossible to investigate. There can be all kinds of reasons why files can disappear on Windows, from malicious software capturing to sychronized drives like google drive malfunctioning. 

Please provide 

*  a full screenshot of the entire screen instead of a small cut-out
* a screenshot of Windows exploring showing the full contents of the folder where you saved the image
* the contents of help->system information for bug reports
* the contents of help->krita system log for bug reports.
