Just updated with a single update of xdg-desktop-portal.  System was fully updated prior to this single update.  CPU usage on full VM went from about 9% to 25% when basically idle with only one tab of Firefox running.   I checked and the CPU usage is kwin_x11.  I took an exact clone of the same VM but just prior to the update and checked with the same exact Firefox tab running and kwin_x11 is back to normal.   Basically the kwin_x11 process went from 3-4% cpu usage to 15-17% cpu usage after the xdg-desktop-portal update.  I updated the restored clone with the xpd-desktop-portal update and the kwin_x11 cpu jumped up just like the other VM.   I can duplicate this on demand.  Thank you.  Mark
