Description Matt G. 2024-09-25 20:26:45 UTC
Quite a few KDE apps are excelent tools for day-to-day use. After I saw that apps.kde.org lists macOS under the supported platforms for Okular, I wanted to install it on my mac(intel).

However, neither apps.kde.org nor okular.kde.org offer a download for a stable build of Okular for macOS or any information on how it might be installed on a mac. The Okular site links to a "generic tutorial for installing KDE applications". I could not find any information on macOS there either. The KDE CDN offers a nightly build for macOS, wich is also linked on apps.kde.org, but no full release seems to be available.

Some information about the level of compatibility/support for macOS on the download page would be incredibly helpful. If macOS is not truly supported by Okular, it probably makes sense to remove the reference to macOS on apps.kde.org.

mac is very barely supported, the cdn version is what you get as of now.
