Created attachment 174039 [details] Images of the process SUMMARY When I transcode a video from VFR to CFR 60fps, during the process the Kdenlive Interface hangs, I try several times with the same video, until it manages to process it. Checking, I realize that Kdenlive is the one that hangs (No response), ffmpeg.exe continues working and finishes normally, converting the video correctly. I have to cancel Kdenlive so that it can finish running. And this is how I managed to transcode my videos until now. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a video with VFR 2. Transcode it to CFR 60fps 3. Wait for it to hang, check in Task Management, you will see "No response" however ffmpeg will continue normally. Note that very rarely the problem does not occur. OBSERVED RESULT The video is processed correctly, ffmpeg finishes normally.. Kdenlive keeps hanging with "No response", it needs to be cancelled EXPECTED RESULT That Kdenlive does not hang and the process ends ok, as it sometimes does with the same video. Also happens to me, but usually does not hang unless 3+ clips are being transcoded at a time. All clips are maximum one minute, so size may affect it. Something different: ffmpeg doesn't seem to continue new clips after the hang/freeze. If many clips are selected to transcode, a random assortment are finished and others are not. The project folder is littered with "<clip name>", "<clip name>-60fps", "<clip name>0001-60fps", and "<clip name>0002-60fps", in descending amounts because of this. Temporary workaround is to transcribe outside of Kdenlive. Windows 10 Home 22H2 19045.5371 Kdenlive 24.08.1
@VideoCreator I don’t have a 15 minutes FVR clip to test and see where Kdenlive hangs. Do you have a sample that I can download for testing?
