SUMMARY
While using KDE Plasma in X11 on Debian 12 Stable, Pop OS 22.04 LTS, and Bazzite. When using the kde tablet configurator to bind keyboard keys to Express Key Remote buttons, the button configured with the space-bar (eg: Shift+Space to rotate canvas, Space to move canvas, etc) would not register the space-bar being pressed in Krita and Aseprite. In Firefox and Discord, express key remote button acted as a space-bar as normal.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Bind space-bar to Express Key Remote button.
2. Open Krita or Aseprite and create/open image.
3. Press/Hold button on remote that space-bar is bound to.

OBSERVED RESULT
Action (move canvas tool) not initiated.

EXPECTED RESULT
Move Canvas Tool is Initiated.

can you quickly try on a live image of a more recent release, such as a fedora kde live? the issue might be fixed on more recent releases

Using KDE Neon I encountered the same scenario.

Operating System: KDE neon 6.0
KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.6.0
Qt Version: 6.7.2
Kernel Version: 6.8.0-45-generic (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11

Under Wayland, the particular scenario I'm encountering isn't present.
