Description evea 2024-09-22 17:49:53 UTC
It has happened to me multiple times, that I have added a WireGuard VPN to my system, to work on a remote network.

The next day I am wondering why my Internet is so slow, until I remember that Plasma, by default, automatically connects you to added VPNs after a reboot. This is undesirable for both parties (local and remote site).

My suggestion is to not set the checkbox "Connect automatically with priority", when adding a VPN config.
