Description daimivic 2024-09-19 13:11:35 UTC
SUMMARY
I read PDF files on an SMB share opened in Dolphin and I wish Okular can remember reading progress for those files as well. Having a store of viewport history files addressed by the file's digest might be great. In case the viewport differs by method of retrieving the viewport (by the filename and the digest), possibly when viewing a changing file, we could just default to using the one associated with the filename.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a PDF file in an SMB share in Dolphin
2. Read a bit in Okular
3. Close and reopen the file

OBSERVED RESULT
Reading progress is reset

EXPECTED RESULT
Reading progress is preserved
