Description Henning 2024-09-17 14:50:09 UTC
When middle clicking a .zip file, having QGIS set as second-favourite program, it instead opens the archive in a new tab.

When double clicking the archive, it opens in Ark and not "inline" in Dolphin.

This is odd, I am not sure which you would prefer and it likely depends on your workflow.

I suppose Dolphin settings should have such toggle for viewing archives.

Fixed in https://invent.kde.org/system/dolphin/-/commit/2b1906eeeabaf91b856d46e72390ae811747ec39 by Jin Liu for the upcoming December Dolphin release 24.12. We did not add a toggle and simply decided to be consistent with how it works for normal files. If one has less than two archive applications installed, it will keep opening archives in a new tab instead.
