Widget is is not refreshing when wired network card is connected via USB

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  Connect to network via USB Ethernet card (I switched from Wifi connection)
2.  Add and configure widget (network speed)
3. sleep laptop
4. wake up the widget
5. Check widget. Widget is not refreshed. Values are probably from previous sesssion

OBSERVED RESULT
Values are not refreshing

EXPECTED RESULT
All values should be refreshed

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
When connected to Wifi, widget is working correctly.

Is there any chance to fix it? Currently it doesn't work. Yesterday, I connected ethernet card to upload bigger files and now ( currently ethernet card is unplugged) widget for ethernet card and for wifi card doesn't work.
