SUMMARY When using steam to play video games the screen constantly flashes black for 5-20 seconds, then it shows the game which works, then it goes back to being black. Back and forth. This does not happen on gnome. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install steam 2. Please attach the output of > journalctl --user-unit plasma-kwin_wayland --boot 0 and > sudo dmesg here, after reproducing the issue. Also, please check if you have adaptive sync enabled, and if disabling it changes anything.

Yes, it is an issue with adaptive sync being enabled on HDMI. If you still need the logs let me know and I will provide them, but it seems that disabling adaptive sync fixes it.
