SUMMARY Can't change between left and right hand orientations. This could easily be remedied by inverting the touchpad (x,y,z) axis and then flipping the express button text the opposite direction and including the option in the settings as in the proprietary Wacom driver/settings. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Plug in tablet (Intuos PTK-640) 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT Only right hand orientation is produced. Forces left handed users to use right handed layout with touch wheel and express keys on the left rendering extremely difficult to use in practice. Additionally, USB plug is located only on one side of the tablet furthering the difficulty with using in a right handed orientation. EXPECTED RESULT Select left or right handed orientation. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window) Linux/KDE Plasma: Ubuntu Studio 24.04.1 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.11 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.115.0 Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Thank you for the bug report! However Plasma 3.2.0 is no longer eligible for support or maintenance from KDE; supported versions are 5.27 (LTS), and 5.27 (non-LTS) or newer. Please upgrade to a supported version as soon as your distribution makes it available to you. Plasma is a fast-moving project, and bugs in one version are often fixed in the next one. If you need support for Plasma 3.2.0, please contact your distribution, who bears the responsibility of providing support for older releases that are no longer supported by KDE. If you can reproduce the issue after upgrading to a supported version, feel free to re-open this bug report.

I was under the impression this was the application version as KDE version is mentioned later and is 5.27.11
The bot is confused because the version numbers don't match Plasma's, heh. I know our new tablet config page on Wayland supports this as of Plasma 6.1, maybe earlier too, not sure about the old X11 one on Plasma 5.27. I think there is little chance of this being further investigated or actioned, to be honest, as all efforts are on building the Wayland tablet stuff right now.
Created attachment 173798 [details] attachment-2668913-0.html Thank you! I'll look forward seeing it on Wayland!
