Description Oded Arbel 2024-09-12 08:20:34 UTC
SUMMARY
After performing a quick search using some search words, if one wants to edit the search query they are tempted to click on the "Edit Search" button at the bottom of the search results - but this just opens the advanced search form with default values for all fields - none of the search words used in the previous search are sent to the new form.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. click the quick search box at the top of the Bugzilla page, enter some words and press ENTER
2. In the search results page that opens, click the "Edit Search" button at the bottom of the page

OBSERVED RESULT
You are taken to the "Advanced Search" form that has the search fields all blank and all other fields are empty.

EXPECTED RESULT
The advanced search "Summary" field, at least, should be filled with the search terms of the previous search

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The "Edit Search" button seems to work well if the search was generated by either the "Advanced Search" form directly, or the "Simple Search" form that you get to by clicking the "Search" top-bar button - in which case the "Edit Search" button takes you to the "Simple Search" form.
