Description bmstettin 2024-09-11 18:29:19 UTC
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.Compile
2. Run on Amd Multi DIE CPU

OBSERVED RESULT
Temp show's 0 for all cores .

EXPECTED RESULT
Temperatures for CPU cores or dies

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: 6.1.4
KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.5.0
Qt Version: 6.7.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Design flaw in Ksystemstats that doesn't account for Multiple K10temp sensors from multi die cpu like Threadripper for example
Unfortunately the Bug is a won't fix for the Ksystemstats Maintainer.
every solution which is unable to map the die temp to the correct core is not a bugfix
Not providing CPU temperatures to the user is acceptable for them

Please don't intentionally open duplicate reports and spitefully complain about people in a way that isn't even accurate. I see no indication that any ksystemstats maintainers refuse to fix this. I see an bug reports marked CONFIRMED and a patch with active discussion going on.
