Created attachment 173490 [details] Showcase SUMMARY Administrator mode can easily disappear so it annoys me sometimes, because i can't easily move across filesystems. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open root / folder 2. Right Click on empty field to call Context Menu 3. Select "Open as Administrator" 4. Authenticate yourself 5. Select any of shortcut in "Places" like "Home" etc. which should have usual path like /home/user OBSERVED RESULT Administrator mode is just vanished. EXPECTED RESULT I want it to not disappear in that way only because the link is not admin:/home/user :( SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: EndeavourOS KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.5.0 Qt Version: 6.7.2 Kernel Version: 6.10.7-arch1-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Vanilla Dolphin, vanilla Baloo, vanilla EndeavourOS. P.S. KDE Plasma compositing DOESN'T affect the behavior of Dolphin or current bug. Already tested it on real machine.
Open as Administrator is not a menu entry shipped by KDE.
(In reply to David Edmundson from comment #1) > Open as Administrator is not a menu entry shipped by KDE. "Open as Administrator" is accessible from system root (/) folder in Dolphin. Default settings are been used.
Current issue it is related to kio-admin. For reproducing current bug "Administrative Actions" Context Menu must be enabled.
