The arrow to make it longer and shorter never appears, the cursor just stays as a hand. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Import any clip. 2. Drag it to the right off screen ie behind the audio mixer/ effect composition/Time Remapper/Subtitles 3. EIther move clip back or scroll to clip, then try to click on left side of clip to make it longer or shorter, as you can see it wont work, until Kdenlive restart. OBSERVED RESULT left side cannot be resized anymore. Cannot make shorter or longer. EXPECTED RESULT You would still be able to resize the clip and cursor would change into the arrows of the left side of the clip SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window) Linux/KDE Plasma: Debian 12 KDE Plasma Version: n/a KDE Frameworks Version: n/a Qt Version: n/a ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Using Kdenlive Appimage
Thanks for your report. I cannot reproduce your exact issue, but there definitely is a problem when dragging a clip behind the mixer panel, then doing undo it creates a "ghost" clip, visible in the monitor but nor in timeline where the clips previously was. Working on it.
Git commit 2819b6ab52d0f71ed80ee0f85dd217e0cace9250 by Jean-Baptiste Mardelle. Committed on 07/09/2024 at 05:53. Pushed by mardelle into branch 'master'. Don't trigger timeline scroll when mouse exits timeline on a clip drag, it caused incorrect droppings and ghost clips. I pushed a possible fix to the 24.08 branch. It would be great if you could test the AppImage that contains my change to confirm if the issue is fixed for you: https://cdn.kde.org/ci-builds/multimedia/kdenlive/release-24.08/linux/
