Pascal, Your backtrace miss debug info. in updateChangedPAlbums() where the crash happen, it miss the code line. You need to recompile digiKam with debug symbol. I think it's clear, Q_FOREACH always made a copy, we remove an entry that is still being processed in the for loop, either via iterator or by making a copy. Maik
yes, probably. make a copy mask some concurrency problems difficult to reproduce but not impossible to see. The C++17::for() port will certainly introduce some regression which will force to fix after all. Gilles

The problem with the thumbnails does not have to be a bug. The thumbnails may come from a preview or thumbnail image within the image that does not contain a frame. The software that created the frame may not have updated the preview or thumbnail images. A test with the frame function of the digiKam image editor shows no problem. You may want to create a new bug report and add the image as a sample. I am closing this bug, thanks for the feedback. Maik
