SUMMARY

I use the zoom desktop effect with the centered option.
This means when zoomed, the zoomed area moves when I move my mouse.

When using a drawing tablet, the zoomed area does not move when moving the cursor using the pen.
I believe this was not the case with X11.


Oddly, this issue is present in all plasma applications I have tried and Xournal++. The issue is also present when moving cursor above desktop as well.
It does not happen in Vivaldi or Alacritty. Vivaldi is running in native wayland mode, not through xwayland.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use drawing tablet
2. Zoom in, for example by holding Meta+Ctrl and srolling up
3. move pen on tablet and see  zoomed area not move.

OBSERVED RESULT
Zoomed area does not move.

EXPECTED RESULT
Zoomed area moves
