Does the history list always look like that for you? Or only after doing something e.g. searching and filtering, or clearing the search field?

Does the issue reproduce at the default clipboard history size of 20 in your current user account?

Does the issue reproduce with a history size of 50 in a new lean user account?

See both screenshots, so basically yes.

Yes, switched to 20, still there.

Will report back later as I need to create a user and try it there.

Thanks for the information and the additional screenshots. This is unusual. Can you let me know what system font you're using, what size, and what GPU you use?

Also I would interested in knowing if the issue persists in a new clean user account with the X11 session, or in a Wayland session of your current user account.

I can confirm this happening for the existing user in Wayland.

When I tried it with a new user account in X11, it's not there (but tried it for just a couple of minutes, wildly copying text+images around), but not weird offsets or overlays.

So it seems that the best way to address this is to recreate the user - but then all the customizations would be forgotten.

Possibly the same issue or at least the same root cause as Bug 448833.
