Screenshot with the error visible

SUMMARY
Sometimes, randomly, the black areas are showing up where context menus, App Runner (Kicker?) and even Task Bar were, or are.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use the system as usual
2. Issue may show up randomly.

OBSERVED RESULT
Black areas as described in summary; persisting on the foreground (see attached screenshot, but the areas are transparent instead of black). Refreshing my remove it for a few nanoseconds.

EXPECTED RESULT
No black areas. Perhaps Wayland could have an issue, especially that desktop is sometimes freezing as well.

If you can, please add output of the system journal might help in determining what the cause is. You can get the log data by running the following:

journalctl --user -b -u plasma-plasmashell

Done. Right now it has a content just after booting up the system, with everything working quite stable, minus the 10-12 second freeze in the meantime.

I'll attempt to include the output again, when the error gets triggered.

Update:
Error occurred, here is the newer output.

Moving back to reported as the information has been supplied, moving to KWin as it is likely a GPU/rendering issue.
Comment 5 Méven 2025-02-24 11:33:25 UTC
Is it still reproducible with Plasma 6.3 ?

So far so good. The issue seems to be fixed, but in the meantime, I did a
reinstallation of the Fedora.

Thanks a lot.
