Description Finley Watson 2024-08-29 00:45:12 UTC
ADDITIONAL INFO
I have not changed the default filename Spectacle uses.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set Spectacle to "Use last-used capture mode" when opening
2. Capture a rectangular region
3. Close and reopen Spectacle. It should open in the rectangular region capture mode
4. Press ESC to get out of the capture mode, Spectacle window should show with a fullscreen image capture, not a region
5. Save the image. It saves a file, but

OBSERVED RESULT
File is saved as Screenshot_<yyyy><MM><dd>_<HH><mm><ss>.png (sometimes as Screenshot__.png ?) and is reported in Spectacle as being saved as Screenshot__.png

EXPECTED RESULT
Date stamp is correct

Can confirm.

Although, I would think that if a user user cancels the screenshot in Rectangular region mode, there shouldn't be created screenshot in the first place.

Fixed by the changes in program behaviour in Spectacle 6.4.2 or possibly earlier
