Created attachment 173032 [details] Annoying useless blue bar on the left. SUMMARY For a long time now there has been an annoying blue bar displayed on the left of the konsole window, randomly, when a command makes a lot of output, even though there is a vertical scrollbar on the right... There seems to be no way to disable that "feature". STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Konsole 2. Start a command that makes a lot of output (eg: ls -lR) 3. Look at the left : there is a useless blue bar. OBSERVED RESULT There is an annoying useless blue bar on the left of the Konsole window when a command produces a lot of output EXPECTED RESULT If this is a wanted feature, there should be an option to disable it. Settings > Configure Konsole > Profiles > Edit > Scrolling > Disable "Highlight the lines coming into view"
(In reply to palapapa from comment #1) > Settings > Configure Konsole > Profiles > Edit > Scrolling > Disable > "Highlight the lines coming into view" There's no such line in the French translation. The closest one may be a check box with something meaning "Syntax coloring : [ ] Apply syntax coloration on the lines coming into view". The translation seems to be REALLY misleading since this is NOT *syntax* coloration :( Can we forward this BR to the translation team ?
Hello, just for information. The string is present in the FR KDE file: messages/konsole/konsole.po:msgid "Highlight the lines coming into view" and translated: messages/konsole/konsole.po-msgstr "Mettre en valeur les nouvelles lignes de l'affichage" Is it a translation issue? Regards. Xavier

It was with the version I used. It's not anymore (I'm in the middle of Plasma version transition). I'm now using the 24/08.0 version and the message is indeed ok now... I'm puzzled that I didn't mention the konsole version I used by then. > Regards. Xavier Thank you. Regards, Thomas.
