Created attachment 172577 [details] maximized windows appear below always visible panels SUMMARY I have two panels in Plasma DE: one at the top and one at the bottom. The top panel is set to always be visible, and I'm experiencing an issue with this panel when windows are maximized. Specifically, maximized windows extend partially below the top panel and those window parts are not visible. When an action occurs that interacts with the panel, such as clicking on an element or when the panel updates (e.g., when starting an OBS recording), at that moment the maximized windows then appear correctly without going under the panel. However, the problem reoccurs when I close and reopen the application. You can see this behavior in the attached video. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a panel and set visibility to always visible 2. Open and maximize any application 3. It should partialy appear below each panel that is set to be always visible EXPECTED RESULT When the window is maximized it should not appear below the panels which visibility is set to always visible. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.4.0 Qt Version: 6.7.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The issue happens on Wayland, and it was also happening with the KDE Plasma version 6.1.3. I have found a few similar bug repports, but those are 9 years old and were reporeted for the Plasma 5, couldn't find anyone reporting this issue with the Plasma 6.
Thanks for reporting. This specific issue is already fixed in Plasma 6.2.
(In reply to Nate Graham from comment #1) > Thanks for reporting. This specific issue is already fixed in Plasma 6.2. Thanks Nate! I've found this(https://community.kde.org/Schedules/Plasma_6) schedule for Plasma DE, and the version 6.2 is planned to be released in the mid October?
That's right!
