This seems similar to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=486517 - can you verify that you have kio_audiocd5 (=KF5 version of audiocd KIO library) installed? This should be the correct package on openSUSE: https://software.opensuse.org/package/kio_audiocd5

Okay, I'm very happy to hear that! Both KF5 and KF6 kio_audiocd can actually be installed concurrently, but as kio_audiocd5 is not available from official openSUSE repositories any more, having it as dependency for Amarok packages isn't probably completely ideal option either. But this is something that will get automatically fixed when we get to Qt6/KF6 Amarok.
Maybe I spoke that everything was working too soon. While Amarok does play Audio CDs with kio_audtiocd5, it can't switch tracks. It does not matter which track you trying to play, it always plays whole disc.
Okay, good to know. I think I've heard/seen hints of something like that happen, but haven't actually done enough CD listening with Amarok to experience it myself. A separate bug report for that might be good.

Yes I think that was an email from me - clearly I should have logged it, if rnet723 doesn't, I will!

I encourage you to go ahead and report it, it should be a few days before I'm back at a location with functional CD drive.

Wrong comment, meant for comment #6
