Hello, this "whishlist" report because the KDE Menu Editor in Kickoff seems a bit confusing. It's not easy to understand how to modify the Kickoff menu (via KDE Menu Editor) because you can do it only right-clicking the "start" menu and select "Edit Application".I think a normal user would expect to see this option in the kickoff settings too. Other options emerged in this disucission: https://discuss.kde.org/t/kde-menu-editor-in-kickoff-settings/19636 I hope some developer can take a look at the discussion to check if it's relevant or not. Thank you very much! Operating System: Fedora Linux 40 KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.4.0 Qt Version: 6.7.2 Kernel Version: 6.9.12-200.fc40.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland
A normal user would probably expect direct manipulation (i.e. drag-and-drop or copy/paste of items in Kickoff itself), not for the menu editor to be embedded into Kickoff's settings window. Anyone with that expectation is someone who's not afraid of settings windows, and is also someone not afraid of right-clicking. So I don't think this would be an improvement, sorry — especially in comparison to the amount of work it would take to implement it. Thanks anyway!
No problem, thanks for your time and explanation!
