I remember this has already been bpresent in KDE 3.5.6 and even earlier.
Under "Accounts" info in knode's preferences go to the properties of your news server and select the proper signature under "Identity".
I suppose this should work and this bug can be closed.

Please do not confuse GPG crypographic signature with the text appended at the end of each message, also called signature.
