SUMMARY
After logging into my Google account from Digikam ( import from Google Photos ), down load fails. Same for Showfoto.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start Digikam
2. Click on Import and select Google photos 
3. Choose a Google account
4. Verify with Google and allow DigiKam to access Google photos
5. Click on Download
