Description kenkaboxii 2024-08-02 17:54:57 UTC
SUMMARY
My keyboard, "Higround HG68," is being recognized as both a keyboard and a mouse device. This issue causes confusion when adjusting mouse cursor speed, as the keyboard appears in the mouse settings.

1 .Device Model: Higround HG68
2. Device Name in Output: SONiX Higround
3. Capabilities: Keyboard, Pointer

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

    Open KDE System Settings.
Navigate to Input Devices -> Mouse.
Observe that "SONiX Higround" (Higround HG68) appears as a mouse device.

OBSERVED RESULT
The keyboard appears in the mouse settings, affecting the ability to adjust mouse cursor speed. The keyboard is incorrectly recognized with both keyboard and pointer capabilities.

EXPECTED RESULT
The keyboard should only be recognized as a keyboard and should not interfere with mouse settings.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

    Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 39
    KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.11
    KDE Frameworks Version: 5.115.0
    Kernel Version: 6.9.12-100.fc39.x86_64 (64-bit)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The issue persists across reboots and after updating the system. The dual recognition of the keyboard as both keyboard and pointer disrupts mouse settings adjustments.
