Description Ralf S 2024-07-29 10:25:51 UTC
SUMMARY
Choosing a dark theme in Digikam 8.4.0 shows (barely visible) dark icons on dark background, restart doesn’t change this behaviour. Happens on Mint 21.3 and Mint 22 with the 8.4.0 AppImage as well as version 8.3.0. Issue seems to be in Mint only, in Kubuntu/KDE everything is fine.

STEPS TO REPRODUåCE
1. Open Digikam in Mint.
2. Choose a dark theme.
3. Restart Digikam.

OBSERVED RESULT
Icons remain dark.

EXPECTED RESULT
Icons change to bright ones.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux Mint 21.3 and 22, Cinnamon
