Description neobrain 2024-07-28 16:08:51 UTC
SUMMARY
Plasma 6's System Monitor no longer provides any context menu action to view "Detailed memory information" for individual processes anymore. This feature was present in Plasma 5 and comes in useful every now and then. Even if memory maps are a bit niche, I find it surprising there's no way to query more general extended information at all.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the "Processes" view in System Monitor
2. Right click on any process
3. Look for a way to see a memory map (similar to /proc/self/maps) or other extended information

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: openSUSE Tumbleweed 6.1.3
KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.4.0
Qt Version: 6.7.2

I'm afraid this is intentional for the time being. We may consider re-adding thie information in some capacity, but no decision has been made yet.
