SUMMARY
Can't connect phone and laptop together with KDE Connect. Trying to add with IP address didn't appear to work either. The software on both devices is up to date. It has worked in the past, but not easily - had to be done with IP address, but it worked. Bluetooth didn't work either (I realize it's in beta).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install KDE Connect on Fedora Linux with Plasma DE
2. Install KDE Connect on Android phone (mine is currently running Android 14)
3. Try connecting devices through app on phone or on laptop/desktop

OBSERVED RESULT
No connection created.

EXPECTED RESULT
Connection between devices. c

As stated above, this has worked before, just not seamlessly. Isn't working at all now. Please don't take this as a negative complaint - really appreciate the work that goes into the KDE environment :)

Thank you for the bug report! Unfortunately in its current state, it is not yet actionable for developers as it only states that something does not work on your particular system, but no indication why it does not work.

I would ask you to try the troubleshooting steps at https://userbase.kde.org/KDEConnect#I_have_two_devices_running_KDE_Connect_on_the_same_network.2C_but_they_can.27t_see_each_other and/or start a discussion at discuss.kde.org or one of your distribution's support forums to find help toward solving this issue. If after doing so you find that there are concrete changes required in KDE connect, please add them as a comment to this report or start a new one

Having the the same issue on Arch with the native package (so no flatpak). Some upgrade to firewall stuff seems to have caused it. Flushing nftables rules makes kdeconnect work again.

More troubleshooting in this thread: https://discuss.kde.org/t/kdeconnect-no-devices-found/18983

The exact rule/cause is still on the air.
