Can't find or launch by hotkey the information panel.

The information panel doesn't appear in the menu View > Show Panel.

Operating System: Fedora Linux 40
KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.4.0

Would you try installing the Baloo search provider, restart Dolphin, and see if the information panel is available then?

If that doesn't work, I assume this is a packaging issue. Dolphin does allow building itself without the information panel, in which case it will look like in the screenshot. It is up to the people providing the software to you to decide whether the information panel should be available for you or not.

I installed the baloo and baloo-widget and reboot then the information panel still not showing up.

Okay, yeah. Very weird. Fedora is such a common distribution that I bet I would have heard before if everyone on Fedora was unable to use the information panel. You also specified that you installed from RPM packages which is also the most common way to install Dolphin on Fedora. I wonder what the issue might be.

I can confirm, information panel is missing in dolphin-24.05.2-2 on Fedora 40. Try to downgrade to dolphin-24.05.2-1.fc40 and it will be back.

This is a packaging issue for Fedora 40, please report the issue there.
There are missing baloo-widgets dependency.
