SUMMARY if you try to open a file that you don't have an application to see it, the choose application dialog opens up, but after clicking the "Get more Apps from Discover" and downloading a suitable application, the choose dialog don't update and the new application don't show up there. Wouldn't it be better to close the dialog after it open Discover indicating that you don't need to choose an app after discover install it?, or update itself to show the newer app?a SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Fedora Linux 40 KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.3.0 Qt Version: 6.7.2 Kernel Version: 6.9.8-200.fc40.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 5700U with Radeon Graphics Memory: 7,1 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics Manufacturer: LENOVO Product Name: 82MF System Version: IdeaPad 3 15ALC6
This looks like it's been fixed in a newer version of Plasma / Discover. I tested with Dolphin 24.08.3 on Plasma 6.2.3 with a fooyin playlist file I removed fooyin and closed Discover In Dolphin I double clicked the playlist file and saw the "Choose an application" dialog, where I clicked the Discover link After installing fooyin, the "Choose an application" window then updated to only show fooyin Please feel free to re-open this bug report if this doesn't work for you in Dolphin 24.08.3 or later. Thanks!
