Description LTS20050703 2024-07-21 14:35:48 UTC
SUMMARY
A few months ago I reported https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=484503 because I thought KAlarm play audio feature stopped working. It turns out that somehow my notification sounds volume is muted this whole time. I didn't know it was muted because unlike Windows showing the System sounds volume alongside other applications in the Volume Mixer, Notification Sounds volume doesn't show up in the Applications tab of the Audio Volume plasmoid.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the audio volume plasmoid
2. Switch to the Applications tab

OBSERVED RESULT
There's no Notification Sounds and therefore no way to change the volume of it.

EXPECTED RESULT
The applications tab should show the notification sounds volume and allowing changing the volume of it.

This would make it a better user experience to be able to easily and quickly find the notification sound volume / mute status
Right now it's necessary to go to System Settings.
