After opening krita my keyboard works fine but as soon as I use the text tool krita suddenly stops recognizing any keywords except for commands keys like Ctrl, alt, shift. Resetting krita solves the problem temporarily until I use the text tool again.

I'm not sure this is something we can do anything about in Krita 5.2; the most likely cause is that Qt doesn't properly manage focus between the pop-up text editor and the main Krita windows. In 5.3, the popup text editor will be gone which will "likely" help with this. I cannot test this, since I don't have a bluetooth keyboard. Which version of Krita did you try? And could you please attach the output of help->krita log for bug reports to this report?
