screenshot after 3 hours

SUMMARY
Installed Kdenlive today on Win 10 PC, ran it, dragged in 3 long audio mp3 files and a cover image file, then Rendered using default options (mp4 for web standard HD). Render never completes. Just sits there saying remaining time of a few seconds or 0 seconds, and some small number for frames and fps. (ffpeg was able to do the job in about 15 minutes; kdenlive still sitting there doing nothing after 3 hours),

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. dragged in 3 long (70-80 minute) audio mp3 files and a cover image file, then Render using default options

OBSERVED RESULT
dragged in 3 long audio mp3 files and a cover image file, then Rendered using default options

EXPECTED RESULT
Should have rendered the video in ~15 minutes max

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: Win 10 Pro

Comment 2 David 2024-07-20 18:05:34 UTC
Update: After ~6 hours I aborted the job. The error log then showed the render output video at that time was about 60% complete. So the issue seems to be that (1) the render is ~100 times slower than ffmeg, (2) the job status info does not correctly show the completion status, "error log" is attached.
