STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. activate "Hide cursor" effect in Desktop Effects KCM
2. open Spectacle
3. check "Include mouse pointer"
4. close Spectacle
5. take a screenshot with Spectacle by pressing shift+printscreen

OBSERVED RESULT
spectacle takes a screenshot without the mouse pointer

EXPECTED RESULT
screenshot with mouse pointer

As a workaround, one can disable "Hide cursor on typing". What makes the cursor hidden for Spectacle is the fact that you typed something.
