Description Lassi Väätämöinen 2024-07-19 08:40:37 UTC
This would be similar to the Open folder -functionality: it would open the folder to the projects view.
Currently when you drag & drop a folder to the Projects pane, a dialog pops up saying:

"You dropped the directory ..... into Kate. Do you want to open all files contained in it?" - Open All Files / Cancel

Instead it could say "open folder" too. And open it to the Projects view.

Additionally: if you drag a folder to a project view with an open project, it will trigger a folder copy. That might be a bit odd.

This is a feature, see bug 451915

Sure. But not exactly what I am asking. Actually what would fill my wish is to have "Open folder" happening via drag-n-drop to (empty) Projects view.

Then, drag-dropping over an existing project folder that is actually open in the view would be a copy target, as it is now.
