Description Germano Massullo 2024-07-17 19:25:41 UTC
the battery applet in Plasma panel tray, often does not react to left mouse click. I often need to access to such applet to select the power profile for my laptop

Plasma desktop 6.1.1
Qt 6.7.2

I have also seen this happening when it’s in the hidden applets popup. Not entirely sure how this happens, I think focussing it with keyboard still worked but clicking didn’t open it.

can you provide plasmashell terminal output?

can you please elaborate? Do you mean attaching GDB to the already running plasmashell process?

No, attaching GDB won't help you collecting the logs. You have to looks them up in the system journal. For some reason you chose to omit OS name from system version information, so I'm not sure which command to suggest, but I guess it's probably journalctl.

If the problem is only about system tray in panel, then it's probably a Wayland bug with applets popups sometimes being zero-sized (I encounter it on dev/master builds regularly).

If it's about hidden applets in the system tray popup itself, then it's a duplicate of BUG 452732
