Steps to Reproduce:

Right-click on the desktop.
Select "Application Menu".
Observe the menu freeze.
Expected Behavior: The application menu should open smoothly without any delay.

Actual Behavior: The application menu freezes for a few seconds before becoming responsive.

Environment:

KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.93.0
Qt Version: 5.15.3
Kernel Version: 5.13.0-37-generic
OS: Ubuntu 21.10
