*** Invalid Media File attempting to play many a podcasts (Ask Noah Show, Linux Matters, etc.) Is this a .m4a file format thing? Probably. There is already this one but is not related to Kasts Snap package: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=470263 *** SUMMARY STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install Kasts 23.08.04 from Ubuntu's App Center (and choose the default latest / stable) - by the way the candidate one does not launch at all. 2. Search a podcast from web and add it to subscriptions 3. Attempt to play any episode for example from Ask Noah Show OBSERVED RESULT "Invalid Media File" with a red type dialog on the bottom of app window. EXPECTED RESULT To play media succesfully as the deb package version does (App Center; but the Snap package is the default that most use). Currently the defaulted Snap package of Kasts from App Center (and Snap Store) is quite unusable. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS / GNOME (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Is this still the case with the latest version? I can't test the snap myself, but someone else within KDE has been working on fixing some snap-related bugs for Kasts.
