Description Raman Gupta 2024-07-10 20:22:56 UTC
SUMMARY

When using the "Screen" option of Window Rules on a multi-monitor system, the value expected is an opaque integer like 0, 1, or 2.

The meaning of these integers is not clear, and does not correspond to any known value in the Display Configuration, which now appears to use monitor model/serial to identify screens.

Through experimentation, it turns out on my system that 0 is my left monitor, 1 is my middle, and 2 is my right, but that certainly isn't obvious. Ideally the Window Rules dialog would have a drop-down for screen, where the naming convention is consistent with Display Configuration.
