Created attachment 171548 [details] Demonstration of the bug SUMMARY It is possible to drag yakuake window around by its border (for example, when trying to select text). The window restores it position after hiding and re-opening it. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open yakuake 2. Move mouse pointer to the edge of the screen (left or right), hold left mouse button down and drag the pointer around OBSERVED RESULT yakuake window moves with the mouse EXPECTED RESULT Either nothing, or (preferably) the text selection SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: NixOS 24.11 KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.3.0 Qt Version: 6.7.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I use default Breeze theme that does not have window borders, so I am not sure why yakuake has one
Thanks for the bug report. There are two related but different issues being described. 1. Being able to drag yakuake around by its border I confirm this behavior on Solus with Plasma 6.1.3 / Yakuake 24.05.2 I am *not* able to reproduce the behavior with Plasma from the master branch / Yakuake 24.05.2, so it looks like the bug has been fixed in Plasma. The fix should reach your system in a future update. 2. Yakuake has window borders when the Window Decorations are set to no borders On both systems, I was unable to reproduce this at first. On either system, when I went to Settings - Window Decorations and changed the window border size, Yakuake immediately picked it up. Then, on both systems, after changing unrelated Yakuake settings, the application stopped updating borders in tandem with changes to Window Decorations. I don't know what other settings might have affected this, if any. On your system as a workaround, there is an option in Yakuake itself to hide its borders. You can find it under Configure Yakuake -> Appearance Since the issue with window borders is still happening, I'm going to update this issue to focus on that.
