STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. run kde partition mnager 2. enter sudo pw 3. close program 4. restart kde partition manager 5. looks like the program has hung, but looking at the bottom tray, you can see it and click on it to bring it to the forefront. 6 reboot starts this 1-5 over again OBSERVED RESULT EXPECTED RESULT SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.11 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.115.0 Qt Version: 5.15.13 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION aplpears similar to 299739
I used to observe it too but now it works fine in newer KF6/Qt6 based versions (at least on Wayland). (Also it's not a sudo prompt :). It's polkit, so different set of rules from sudo.)
